Dear Birth Mother,
We just want to thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We can’t even begin to imagine how overwhelming and stressful this decision is for you and no matter what you decide moving forward, we pray you are supported and cared for throughout this season.
We are in awe of your selfless love and strength as you consider making an adoption plan. If chosen, we promise to love your baby unconditionally through every stage of their lives, make sure they grow up knowing how amazing you are and the unconditional love you have for them, and where their qualities of love and strength first came from.
We would love to hear your desires for the future. We want to honor you in whatever ways we can through updates and whatever communication you feel comfortable with.
Our hope as you read through this profile is that you truly get a glimpse into our everyday lives, who we are, and the love and support we are ready to pour out to a child. If chosen, it would be the greatest honor of our lives to raise your baby. They would be raised in a home full of love, laughter, adventures, and support for their future no matter where their dreams take them.
Our Love Story
We have been married for three years. Our love story is a fun one. I went to nursing school with Zach’s sister. I was one of her bridesmaids and the night of the rehearsal dinner I saw Zach for the first time. He was playing guitar and singing for everyone at the dinner. I know it sounds crazy but it seemed like he was just singing to me. I was mesmerized. Later on, I asked Zach’s sister more about him and more importantly why she had never told me she had such a good-looking brother. She laughed it off, but it turned out he felt the same way when he was playing! The wedding day went by in a whirlwind but we did get time to talk and we discovered we shared a love of history, all things nerdy, and a love for nature and outdoor activities. By the end of the wedding I knew I wanted to get to know him better and the rest is history.
We have grown so much since our first glances at that wedding. Quality time is something that is a must for us. Whether that involves snuggling up on the couch in the winter, watching a history documentary, or golfing any chance we get in the summer, we always make time to just hang out and enjoy each other’s company.
Why Adoption For Us
We discussed having children from the beginning of our relationship and started trying soon after being married. Our fertility journey was a painful one and just kept leading us in circles seeing one specialist after another. Nothing about the journey ever felt quite right to us. We truly feel that God had His hand in everything from the start. We just didn’t understand the plan at the time. Once we began looking into adoption, there was a sense of peace for both of us and doors felt like they were finally opening instead of closing on us at every turn. We believe where God leads, he provides and we cannot wait to be parents!
Our Home
We rented a house before we bought our first home together in July of 2025. Adoption was on our minds and hearts, and we prayed we would find a house that could become our home and one we could raise children in. As soon as we stepped into our house to look at it, we knew it was the perfect home. It’s in a small subdivision on the outskirts of town. It still has all the perks of living in town, but when you sit out on our patio with the tree line right behind us you would never know you are in town. It is a two story, four bedroom, three and a half bath home. We have the partially finished basement set up as a home gym and a music room.
Our living room is so cozy with the gas fireplace and we can cuddle up and read a book in the winter. The sunroom is full of plants and is a great spot in the summer. We love the back patio with the firepit for smores in the fall and all the space in the backyard for Lance to run and play fetch. Most of all, we love that it is big enough to host family gatherings. We love having a place where we can all hang out and make memories. God truly blessed us with not only a house, but an amazing place we get to call home.

Meet Zach (Through Amanda's Eyes)
There is never a dull moment when Zach is home. He is always singing random songs, quoting movies, or telling jokes. He fills our home with so much love and laughter. He is also extremely kind and thoughtful. God truly blessed me when he brought Zach into my life. I truly cherish and admire Zach’s dedication and love for his family. We both highly value quality time, but Zach is the one who always finds a way to make it happen. He plans trips for us to explore the country or will go out of his way to ride with me when I am running errands. For his siblings and extended family, he always shows up to family events. He is fully present in every conversation, and we are usually one of the last to leave.
I cannot wait to see Zach become a father. I love watching him with his older niece and nephew. They are seven and nine and at the age where they are learning so much at school and have a million questions about all of it. When we hang out with them, they run right to and cling to Zach and can’t wait to tell him all about what they learned that day. It doesn’t matter what the subject is, Zach listens intently and usually teaches them something new about the subject. As a father, I know Zach will be patient and thoughtful. He will be a dad who finds fun ways to turn everyday tasks into exciting learning experiences!
Meet Amanda (Through Zach's Eyes)
Amanda is the most selfless and compassionate person I have ever met! She would do pretty much anything to make the people she loves in her life happy, even at great expense to herself. Empathy is an incredible gift she has been given. She is also intelligent and incredibly hardworking. No matter what obstacles she encounters she will always keep striving and eventually achieve her goals whether they be professional goals, self-improvement, or in the realm of relationship building.
Wow, is Amanda amazing with children! I have three siblings that each have children. She is so wonderful planning little outings with the nieces and nephews. Each year for Christmas she makes a handcrafted gift bag that always includes a plan for us all to get together and make memories doing something unique for them. This exemplifies how she shows her love for others: through spending quality time with them. Any child we have is sure to have a schedule packed with family events and memory building! Amanda will be nurturing and fun. She is always making the children in our lives laugh. I look forward to coming home to a house full of joy and laughter after work. She will be an incredible mother, offering endless amounts of love, guidance, and support. She is the most caring and nurturing person I know. She has such a big heart and a natural ability to make people feel safe and supported.
Meet Lance
We have a very mighty ten pound knight named Lancelot who protects our home! Well… actually we have a very cuddly little havapoo dog; and his name comes from our nerdy side (King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table). Lance loves to play fetch, go for walks, and cuddle with us. He will be two in December and still has lots of puppy energy. He is extremely social and loves children! He gets to play with our niece and nephew and never wants them to leave! He is in doggy heaven when they chase him all over the house.
About Zach
I have the blessing of having what I consider to be the best job in the world. Technically, I am a plaintiff’s attorney, with the goal to represent cancer victims in workplace exposure cases. The greatest joy of my job is helping individuals and families who were wrongfully harmed by large corporations. I have personal experience with the devastation cancer can cause in families, so it is my great honor to enter the battle that has been going on for generations trying to ensure companies can’t put profits over people.
Not only do I love what I do, but my job also has an amazing work/life balance. At my firm, we have very flexible hours with lots of opportunities to work from home. They are incredibly generous with our compensation and benefits package. Given my flexible and often remote schedule I will have plenty of time for adoption.
I grew up watching my father lift weights and my mother working part-time as an aerobics instructor. Some of my earliest memories are sitting in my play area and watching mom get a quick workout in the living room with our old VHS player. With that background I suppose I was doomed to be interested in physical fitness. Exercise is basically the cornerstone of my life. I enjoy anything from weight-lifting to indoor cardio training to outdoor hikes and walks. I cannot wait to model this behavior to children in the hope they pick it up as well.
Reading is another passion I hope to pass along to a son or daughter! Ever since I can remember I have wanted to absorb every piece of knowledge in any book I could get my hands on. My parents started reading books with me every night when I was still in the cradle and this is something I would love to do with my children as well.
About Amanda
Most people do a double take when I tell them I am a farmer since I don’t fit the typical farmer stereotype. I love how the work changes with each season and there’s nothing more beautiful than harvesting a field of corn and watching the sun set from a tractor cab. The farm is run by my father, mother, and I. With that being said, my hours are extremely flexible. God also put a passion for helping people in my heart, especially children. Currently I am working in a pediatric clinic. Working with children really keeps you on your toes. You have to find creative ways to have them take medicine or help them understand a diagnosis. I have always admired their resilience and positivity during an illness, and I strive to make their day just a little better each shift I work. With my nursing job, I only work one or two, 8 hour shifts a month, so I plan on spending a lot of time home with our child.
My perfect summer day would include collecting fresh veggies from our garden, taking our dog Lance for a walk, baking something in the afternoon, and then watching the sun go down in our backyard with my favorite book at the moment. That perfect day includes many of my favorite hobbies and I can’t wait to share these activities with our future child and create lots of memories.
Our Family Values
• Quality time: This is our love language. Life can be busty and hectic at times but we make it a priority to just slow down and spend quiet evenings or date nights together.
• Family gatherings: We are very family oriented and are blessed to have large extended families that live close. We spend lots of time with both of our families and it is time that we cherish.
• Faith: Our faith is the rock of our marriage. It is so wonderful to be able to have a partnership where we can grow spiritually together and support one another in our faith! We both have a Christian upbringing and feel that faith has helped shape us into the people we are today. Prayer is something that is daily in our lives and we try our best to listen and let God guide our path and our decisions. Reading scripture is also something that is very important to use. Through our faith we want to teach our children love, compassion, honesty, and humility.
• Traveling + Experiences – We love traveling together and seeing new things. Zach traveled a lot in the earlier part of his career and anytime he saw something amazing he would come home and want to plan a trip so we could both see it together. Traveling is a value we hope to share with our future child!
Our Community
We live in a Midwest community with farmland as far as the eye can see. I have always lived here, and I love the benefits of living in a small town. Zach has not always lived in a small town and he always comments on the low traffic and how wonderful it is. Ironically, his father grew up in our town, so Zach ended up right back where his father’s family was raised. I love that living in a small town we know almost all of our neighbors in our subdivision and how safe it feels. Our subdivision is only five minutes away from the high school that our children would attend. The school is known for its football but also has other great athletic and academic opportunities. There are lots of things to do in our town. We have several playgrounds and parks, along with a private golf course where we are members. The golf course has a pool for members and their families but there is also a community pool open in the summer. We also have a theatre that always has children’s shows playing. We have an awesome library that I spent hours at when I was a child. Another thing I love about our town is all the craft shows and events they have on the courthouse square every summer. Several Saturdays a month they have concerts, food vendors, and bounce houses for children. The community is always doing new things to bring everyone together. We also have several family-owned restaurants that we enjoy going to with friends and family.
Zach's Family
I have three siblings and four nieces and nephews, and the best part is they all live within twenty minutes of us so our child will have lots of cousin time! My mom also lives within twenty minutes! My father had eight siblings and lots of them also live close and we go to church with several of my uncles and aunts.
Amanda's Family
I have a large extended family. My father has four siblings and my mom has two siblings. I have two cousins on my mom’s side, and we spend many holidays at my grandparents’. When we adopt, our child will be the first great grandchild on my mom’s side! On my dad’s side of the family there are way too many cousins to mention, but the best part is that most of them live within thirty minutes of us! One of my cousins lives right across from the family farm and they have two children under eight.
Extended family and support for adoption
Holidays are always packed with family events. Both of us have large extended families who live close and we get together for all the major holidays and minor ones as well. Since everyone lives so close we also get together for birthdays, graduations, and just because. This past year Zach’s nephew was 6 months old and his sister and brother-in-law threw him a ½ birthday party. We thought it was such a fun idea, and we can’t wait to do that with our own child. We both feel so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing and close-knit families. Both of our families are very supportive and excited about our plans to adopt!
Education
Education is something that is extremely important to both of us. We live less than five minutes from our community’s public elementary and high school and that is where our children would go. It is a great school with academic and sports opportunities. After high school, we will support whatever decision our children make, whether that be college, trade school, or even entrepreneur routes. We want our children to follow their dreams and set goals for themselves and to know that they have 100% of our support and help whatever route they choose. We also want them to know it’s ok to be unsure of what they want to do and that we will do our best to help guide them and encourage them along the way.
