Creating loving homes since 1947

Gina & Sean
Dear Expectant Parent:

We want your baby to have everything they need to live up to their God-given potential. Even in the womb, God already knows the plans for your baby. Plans for hope and a future, as the Bible says. We will work hard to provide everything necessary for an opportunity-filled life.
We want your baby to appreciate their culture. Gina and I were blessed to grow up in South Florida, where we could celebrate Gina’s Cuban heritage, and live around many different ethnicities and cultures. We will celebrate your baby’s ethnicity and encourage them to learn about their cultural food, history, and holidays, while also helping them love their neighbor in the diverse neighborhood we live in.
We want your baby to be supported by a loving family. Family is the most important thing we can have, and we are blessed with very supportive and loving families. Our families have really enjoyed every moment they get with the child we are currently fostering, and they can’t wait to welcome another baby with open arms.
We want your baby to know that it is special to be adopted. We have several friends who have adopted children in their families. Your baby will have other adults and children in their lives who understand the complexities and emotions of adoption. We also have a very supportive church family with several families who have adopted kids. In addition to knowing other adoptive families and children, they will grow up knowing adoption is a beautiful act, and we will celebrate their adoption day every year. As soon as your child is able to begin to understand what adoption is, we will make sure they know they are adopted and explain what that means as they continue to grow.
We want your baby to know that you chose to selflessly give them life, and made the best possible decision for them through adoption. We are willing to discuss what type of openness you are interested in as your baby grows up and desire to keep you updated with photos and letters.
We want your baby to have a great education. We will do everything we can to make sure your child graduates from high school and other schooling they pursue. We will let it be their decision whether to choose a trade school, certification, or college, and will be supportive in whatever path they choose.
We want your baby to grow up with strong moral convictions. When it comes to discipline and correction, we believe God’s Word is the standard and foundation. We will seek to discipline with positive reinforcement, healthy boundaries, and grace. Discipline will be done in love for the best interest of the child, with the goal of explaining how their actions affect themselves and others.
Why are we adopting?
After more than 11 years of marriage with several years of unsuccessfully having a biological child, we found out that we both have fertility issues to some degree.
The good news is that adoption has always been on our hearts, so we took this as a clear sign that adoption is the way that God wants to build our family and give a few children a loving home.
In late 2021, we began the process of adoption. While waiting, we took home a two-week old foster baby in October 2023. He is a healthy and joyful boy who would love a sibling some day! His case is moving towards adoption and we are ready for him to be a permanent part of our family.

About Gina (written by Sean)
I met Gina when I was a freshman in High School, and I knew there was something very special about her. First off, she was wiser than me because she was a year older! But she has always been a very wise, calculated, and intelligent person. She always knows what is best for our family.
Secondly, she is patient, loving, and calm. She never gets angry and is always concerned with loving others well. We rarely fight, and every argument is calmly discussed. Not long after an argument are we joking again and enjoying each other’s company.
Most importantly, Gina has a very strong faith in God with unwavering values. We are in it together to raise a family that knows that God fully knows and fully loves them, and how to love others the same way.
About Sean (written by Gina)
He’s also one of the most selfless and humble people I know; putting others first and always saying yes to opportunities to help others. He is fiercely loyal to our family and understands and values quality time together.
Meet our Families
All of our family is very supportive and excited for us to adopt.
Gina’s dad is from Cuba, and Gina’s mom is from Indiana. They live in Florida, and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary! They are both retired and try to visit us at least twice a year. Gina has one older sister who lives in Florida as well, and she loves to visit us when she can.
Sean’s mom and dad also live in Florida. They have been separated but they get along well. Sean has four other siblings: two brothers and two sisters. They also try to visit once a year, and we try to visit them in Florida once a year as well.

Our Work + Education
Our goal is to raise a child to discover their skills, interests, and how they want to make their mark on the world.
Gina works as a Personal Trainer at a local gym. She enjoys working with clients one-on-one to help them reach their fitness goals.
Gina works part-time and creates her own hours/availability so that she can have the flexibility for family time.
Gina also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Non-Profit Business Management, which she used to help lead a non-profit ministry with Sean.
Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts in Bible, Preaching and Youth Ministry. Sean was a pastor at a local church, and has been in ministry for over ten years. He enjoys serving others and helping church members serve the community. Our church has a strong focus on adoption and fostering.
Today, Sean is a full-time firefighter, which allows him to volunteer at church and spend a lot of time with family. Firefighting is a career that will steadily provide for our family for the rest of our lives.

Our Pets + Home

We have 2 cats (Gatsby & Freya) and 1 dog (Daisy). Gatsby is shy around visitors while Freya is more outgoing after she warms up to people. All of our animals are very sweet and great with children of all ages.
Daisy is a goofy and sweet hound dog who loves kids and is super playful. We enjoy taking her on camping trips and hikes. Daisy and the cats are frequently seen sharing the same bed together.
We are blessed to own a beautiful home with plenty of room for a growing family. We live in a safe neighborhood that is in a city with many things for our family to do.
Our house has a spacious backyard with a good size garden. We love going for walks in our neighborhood, and having neighbors and friends over for dinner. We are also right next door to a park with a playground.

Our Dream for Your Baby
They will fail, they will mess up, they will get in trouble, they will know that we aren’t their birth parents, and they will have big questions about life, but at all times, they will have our unconditional love and acceptance.
They will know we have their back to pursue their dreams and live life to the fullest. They will have us as a moral compass that always points them to the love, grace, and wisdom of Jesus.
We haven’t met you yet, but we are praying for you, and we are praying that you trust us.
Thank you for getting to know us, Sean & Gina
